Do I need really professional photography?
Maybe not. If your small business runs mostly through social media channels, you can probably get away with smartphone photos.
But if you’re looking to populate a new website, an Etsy store, a printed menu, etc., the cost for professional-grade photos is likely justified.
How long is a branding session?
It depends on your workplace.
If you’re the salesperson, designer, accountant, and janitor all-in-one, we should shoot all of that. Along with portrait-style photos for social media and your website, that could take up to 3-4 hours. But most branding sessions are ~2 hours.
What do I receive?
Without knowing the specifics of your particular business, you’ll likely receive somewhere between 15-40 photos suitable for anything from Instagram posts to high-quality prints.
We do profile pictures for Linkedin, social media posts, Canva backgrounds, all the way up to digitizing fine art for printing via a service like Gelato or Printful.
Can you help us with a small business grant?
Absolutely!
Remember, if you’re paying a web developer to create your new site, they’re only as good as the content you provide. They’ll cover design elements like colour palettes and typefaces, but you’ll need to provide your story in both text and image form. So it’s always wise to save a % of your grant money for professional photography so your new site drops with a bang instead of a thud.
